WHY MANAGED IDENTITY ACCESS
A key feature is Multi-Factor Authentication, which provides an additional layer of security against impersonation and credential theft. With MFA, users must present multiple forms of evidence to gain access to a system, including contextual information such as location, time-of-day, IP address, device type, etc., and administratively defined policies to determine which authentication factors to apply to a particular user in a specific situation.
ACCESS PRIVILEDGES
The service also includes user provisioning and lifecycle management, providing onboarding and lifecycle management of user access privileges throughout their employment. It provides self-serve portals that enable users to request access rights and update account information without help desk intervention, including monitoring and reporting for support, compliance audits, or forensics investigations.
