Obrela Security Industries participates in the consortium along with other EU organizations on an effort to provide a transparent cybersecurity environment on the European IoT “Smart Home” market.
GHOST is set to tackle the complex cyber-security and privacy challenges of the modern digital home. The project aims to develop a solution using the most sophisticated technologies that would safeguard and enhance the interaction of IoT devices with its users.
The software will be embedded in home network gateways to perform network analysis and deep packet inspection for suspicious pattern recognition, will apply machine learning and a data analysis for malicious behavior detection, will carry out context-aware real-time risk assessment. Widely apply data analytics and visualization for effortless user comprehension and decision support, strengthen security defense through blockchain technology and smart contracts, while ensuring interoperability with various gateways and a wealth of IoT devices through a dedicated middleware layer.
OSIs’ contribution to the project will be on Risk Management, SOA Analysis, Feasibility Study, Cross-Layer anomaly detection framework, among other.
The project will run for three years and has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation program under grand agreement No GA-740923
