Managing Director DACH and Chief Commercial Officer will be the experienced manager Andreas Walbrodt.
Frankfurt a. M. DE – September 30, 2021 – OBRELASecurity Industries, one of the leading vendor-independent cyber defense services providers, is accelerating its international growth strategy in Central Europe. To better serve the steadily growing demand, the company has founded Obrela Security Industries GmbH, based in the Frankfurt am Main area, as a local subsidiary for the German-speaking market as of August 1, 2021. The managing director of the German GmbH is Andreas Walbrodt, who was simultaneously appointed to the group’s operating board as Chief Commercial Officer.
George Patsis, CEO and co-founder of Obrela: “Within the last year, we have seen a steadily growing demand in Central Europe and especially in the DACH region. In the past, Andreas Walbrodt has repeatedly established innovative business models and successful sales teams in the market, thus creating sustainable growth. In the past few months, he and his team have already succeeded in concluding important lighthouse contracts in key industries, thus preparing for the establishment of the Central European branch.”
Rapidly advancing digitization and the growing number of attacks on the underlying infrastructures and applications pose immense challenges for companies, especially in the face of capacity and resource bottlenecks. This development has led to companies increasingly opting for service platforms that help them detect and defend against cyber risks. According to Gartner analysts, security and risk management executives use MSS to detect threats, make recommendations, and respond to threats when needed. In the 2020 Gartner Market Guide for Managed Security Services, analysts forecast growth from 15% to date to 50% in firms using such services by 2025. Obrela is listed as a “Representative Vendor” in the latest Gartner report.
Andreas Walbrodt, Managing Director of the German GmbH and CCO at Obrela: “My declared goal is to make Obrela significantly better known beyond its core markets in Southeast Europe and the Middle East and to expand the partner network rapidly. Two main things inspire me. One is the vision of real-time, enterprise-wide risk management, and the other is the Obrela service platform. It offers customers from all industries and, regardless of the size of their company, an enterprise-class cyber security service. A service that gives them the visibility, flexibility and speed of a focused specialist for any environment. Given the growing data protection requirements and the concerns that come with them, the platform should be developed and operated in the European Union.”
Andreas Walbrodt has over 25 years of experience in the services industry. At both IBM and TÜV Rheinland i-Sec, he has successfully developed and implemented managed services models in cyber security both nationally and internationally.
