Raising the bar for cybersecurity can’t happen in silos. Resilience comes from shared knowledge, mutual support, and proactive partnerships — between public and private sectors, large enterprises and small businesses, academia and industry.
In this respect, joining the SOC4SME program to offer free services is not just a gesture — we’re doing it because we believe cybersecurity is a shared responsibility. When the smaller players in the ecosystem are more secure, the entire digital economy is stronger.
This belief in shared responsibility was recently echoed by Professor Vasilis Katos, who recently commented on the expanding “exploitation zone” — the growing gap between accelerating digital transformation and our ability to secure it — reflects a core challenge we address daily at Obrela. It is a gap that affects organizations of every size, not just large enterprises. Small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) are increasingly targeted, often lacking the dedicated resources to respond effectively to cyber threats.
In this environment, ideas like #CyberFirstAid are not just helpful — they are essential. They emphasize inclusivity in cybersecurity and promote early intervention, awareness, and support across the digital ecosystem.
Our commitment to SMEs is not new. As part of the co-funded EU program SOC4SME – that has the support of the National Cybersecurity Authority and the Ministry of Digital Governance, – Obrela is dedicated to extending enterprise-grade, human-led cybersecurity services to smaller organizations. Because building resilience across the board is how we strengthen the entire digital economy.
While advanced technologies such as AI and machine learning are central to our Managed Detection and Response (MDR) services, we recognize that technology alone is not enough. True resilience lies in the combination of smart tools and even smarter people.
That’s why our Resilience Operations Centers (ROCs) are built around experienced human analysts. These professionals provide context, intuition, and strategic response capabilities that machines, on their own, cannot. They are the critical link in translating detection into action — and in turning potential crises into controlled outcomes.
The Path Forward: Partnership and Preparedness
Cybersecurity is not a product — it is a continuous, collective effort. Progress depends on greater collaboration across sectors, the democratization of expertise, and a shared commitment to preparedness.
By offering 12 months of free Managed SOC services to qualifying SMEs, we’re helping close the protection gap where it matters most.
If your company operates in Greece, has 50–250 employees, or a turnover of up to €50 million, we invite you to take part in this initiative.
